Start with your device estate.

Your operating systems, existing tools and available support shape the options worth comparing.

Device coverage

Check support for your operating systems, endpoints, servers and remote users.

Response workflow

Compare how suspicious activity is investigated, devices are isolated and issues reach your team.

Day-to-day ownership

Clarify who handles rollout, policy tuning, integrations and ongoing support.

Compare the product, not just the brand.

A shortlist might include CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Huntress or SentinelOne. Match the exact offering to your device estate and the work your team can take on. If NinjaOne is part of your management stack, clarify which endpoint security product and service are included. Brand names alone do not establish equivalent coverage or licensing.

Before you choose

Endpoint security buying questions.

What should an endpoint security comparison include?

List your operating systems, servers, workstations and remote devices. Then compare prevention controls, detection, investigation, device isolation and integration with your existing tools. Ask who deploys the agents, tunes policies and responds to alerts; those responsibilities affect the practical fit.

How do we compare endpoint licensing quotes?

Use the same device inventory and requirements for each quote. Ask for the exact edition, included capabilities, term, minimum quantities and any separate service charges. Confirm whether server coverage and managed response are included rather than inferring them from a product name.

Do we need EDR or a managed response service?

That depends on the work your team can own. EDR gives your team detection, investigation and response tools; a managed service adds provider responsibilities defined by its agreement. Review the MDR options if you need help evaluating who monitors, investigates and takes action.
